NDT Inspection

NDT Inspection is divided into various methods of nondestructive testing, each based on a particular scientific principle. These methods may be further subdivided into various techniques. The various methods and techniques, due to their particular natures, may lend themselves especially well to certain applications and be of little or no value at all in other applications.

Therefore choosing the right method and technique is an important part of the performance of NDT Inspection.

Using advanced and conventional non destructive testing (NDT) methods, SOS Inspection ensure your systems are working at safely, and at optimal output, we provide a reliable and competitive inspection service using fully trained personnel and quality inspection equipment.

MT - (Magnetic Particle Testing)

Magnetic particle Inspection is a non-destructive testing process for detecting surface and slightly subsurface discontinuities in ferromagnetic materials such as iron, nickel, cobalt, and some of their alloys.

PT - (Dye Penetrant Testing)

Dye penetrant inspection, also called liquid penetrant inspection or penetrant testing, is a widely applied and low-cost inspection method used to locate surface-breaking defects in all non-porous materials

UTM - (Ultrasonic Thickness Measurement)

Ultrasonic thickness measurement (UTM) A non-destructive measurement (gauging) of the local thickness of a solid element (typically made of metal) basing on the time taken by the ultrasound wave to return to the surface.

UT - (Ultrasonic Testing)

Ultrasonic testing, very short ultrasonic pulse-waves with center frequencies ranging from 0.1-15 MHz and occasionally up to 50 MHz are transmitted into materials to detect internal flaws or to characterize materials

VT - (Visual Testing)

(VT) is used in inspection of equipment and structures using either or all of raw human senses such as vision, hearing, touch and smell and/or any non-specialized inspection equipment.

RVI - (Remote Visual Inspection)

RVI is commonly used as a predictive maintenance or regularly scheduled maintenance tool to assess the "health" and operability of fixed and portable assets. RVI enables greater inspection coverage & data comparison

HARDNESS

Hardness is a measure of how resistant solid matter is to various kinds of permanent shape change when a force is applied. Macroscopic hardness is generally characterized by strong intermolecular bonds.
